Share a brief
The most useful thing you can do is put a brief in front of someone who cares about the issue. Send the link rather than a screenshot — the sources, the counterargument, and any corrections travel with the page.
Contact your representatives
On most issues we cover, the concrete ask points at Congress. The official directories:
- Find your U.S. House representative — by ZIP code (house.gov)
- Contact your U.S. senators — by state (senate.gov)
- Look up any member of Congress — (congress.gov)
Name the specific issue, say what you want them to do, and use your own words.
